Anthony Scaramucci Invests In Former FTX President’s Crypto Software Company
Anthony Scaramucci and FTX go back over a year – in September 2022, FTX Ventures acquired a 30% stake in Skybridge Capital, founded by Mr. Scaramucci. He had a short stint as the White House Director of Communications in 2017.
As for FTX, it was actively pursuing acquisitions and being seen as a knight in shining armor for troubled companies after Terra’s downfall. However, later down the line, the fortunes of FTX took an abrupt turn.
According to a Bloomberg report, Anthony Scaramucci plans to invest in Brett Harrison’s cryptocurrency company.
Anthony Scaramucci Is Betting Big On His Next Business Venture
Harrison, formerly the president of SBF’s now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, is receiving some financial help from Anthony Scaramucci. The latter has declared his intention to take up his own money to back Harrison in this time of crisis.
Harrison expressed this sentiment to Bloomberg News.
I feel privileged to have Anthony as my mentor and friend since I got involved in the crypto industry two years ago. I’m ecstatic to be a part of his investment venture and certain that his guidance will be extremely valuable during this fresh start.
Harrison’s cryptocurrency company is looking to raise up to $100 million in funding. Their software products are designed to provide traders with algorithmic assistance for a variety of strategies.
