Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal have made some of the largest philanthropic contributions in cryptocurrency history. Past Donations Of Vitalik Buterin To COVID Relief

Vitalik Buterin has a track record of donating significant amounts to charitable causes, including COVID-19 relief efforts. In 2021, he donated cryptocurrencies worth $1.5 billion to various non-profit organizations. Notably, he donated over $1 billion worth of Shiba Inu coin to support India's fight against the coronavirus. The donation involved offloading 50 trillion SHIB tokens worth $1.2 billion, which he received as a gift from the creators of the Shiba Inu coin. This donation helped provide medical equipment and supplies to India during the deadly second wave of COVID-19 infections. In addition to pandemic relief efforts, Buterin has also donated millions of dollars in crypto to other charities and causes. Last year, he quietly donated $5 million to support Ukraine relief efforts following the Russian invasion.
