Retail investors with any ‘savings’ must be wondering where on earth they are going to put them in order to survive the potential armageddon to come.

Few Understand What Is Coming Financially. Optimized Content: Investment Strategies in a Complex Economic World: Is Bitcoin a Viable Option?

It is important to acknowledge that a large portion of the world's population may not be aware of the potential financial challenges that could arise in the coming months or years. Some argue that governments take advantage of the general lack of financial education among citizens. Fortunately, the internet provides various platforms for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of financial matters. This is especially important given that traditional media outlets often prioritize sensationalism over substantive economic discourse.

Holding Fiat Will Not Protect You

Saving money has always been considered a wise decision, but the value of saved money can decrease over time due to inflation. Traditional investment options like bonds, stocks, and real estate may not be enough to protect an individual's wealth in case of an economic crisis. The possibility of a black swan event, such as a severe recession, leading to the adoption of central bank digital currencies and rendering fiat currency worthless, is a concern worth considering. Surviving such a scenario requires careful thought and planning.

A Traditional Hedge

Gold has traditionally been considered a reliable asset to add protection and insurance to one's portfolio. Although there is a possibility that the gold price is manipulated by banks, it still holds its value and can serve as a means to protect one's assets. Bitcoin Even Better?

Bitcoin is similar to gold in that it has a limited supply and cannot be debased. However, gold experiences a 2% inflation each year due to the newly mined supply that is added to the total above-ground stocks. In contrast, Bitcoin has a built-in halving every four years that cuts the supply in half. Additionally, Bitcoin is highly portable and can be sent to anyone in any country in the world inexpensively, without the need for a bank or government to approve the transaction. Gold and silver have been subject to price manipulation on the Western LBMA and COMEX exchanges for decades, despite being sound money. Bitcoin, on the other hand, operates outside of the traditional financial system, making it difficult for banks and governments to exert control over it. However, the recent Blackrock Bitcoin Spot ETF filing could be a sign that governments are attempting to exert some control over Bitcoin through the world's largest asset manager.

Now Is A Time For Decision

In light of the new world order, it is crucial for investors to take necessary steps to protect themselves in the face of a potentially different monetary system. Given the historical trend of fiat currencies losing their value over time, it is important for investors to keep a close eye on their government and central bank. Conducting thorough research on available options to safeguard their investments is highly recommended.
